230 Acres of Florida Fun
Revolution Off Road is the only place in Central Florida to offer self-driven amphibious vehicles in its varied collection of off-road vehicles. The newest off roaders are called Argo Amphibious UTVs but Revolution Off Road has nicknamed them “Mucky Ducks.”
The eight-wheeled vehicles can sit four people comfortably. The Mucky Duck is an all-season, all-weather vehicle that can be operated rain or shine, making it the ultimate off road experience. Take it through Revolution Off Road’s 230 acres of woodlands, sand trails and even make a splash in the lakes and swamp areas on two separate occasions.
While it can be a bumpy ride, the Mucky Duck offers fun for the entire family. Visitors must be over 18 and have a driver’s license to drive a Mucky Duck; however, children ages 2 and up can be passengers as long as they can sit unaided in the vehicle. For passengers under six years old, safety vests and helmets are available.
A Tailored Experience
An expert tour guide takes visitors around the property, allowing them to get up close to the natural beauty of Florida. When the track is wet and includes puddles, the tour guide will let you know which ones are safe to drive through and which ones you should avoid. They will also stop in certain areas of the track to let you switch drivers so everyone who meets the driving requirements can have a turn. The tour is sure to show visitors the abundant wildlife and habitats of the land. The tour lasts about 75 minutes with a quick safety briefing in the beginning and a chance to ask questions about driving the Mucky Duck. When you’re out on the track, it could be sandy or wet, but either way, you will likely get dirty, so all valuables should be left behind if possible.
Add to the Fun
To make the experience even more memorable, visitors can add a Go Pro Hero 2 camera or photo package to record their off road experience. The Mucky Duck tour begins daily at 8:30 a.m., and, just like the other experiences at Revolution Off Road, they are never overbooked. That means you won’t have to wait in any lines before you jump into the Mucky Duck.
At Revolution Off Road, visitors can also drive ATVs, Buggies and 4X4 Jeep Wranglers through the property’s tracks and trails. A reservation is required and you should be prepared to get “dirty, maybe very dirty.” The best part is that you don’t need to be an experienced driver to participate in any of the off-roading experiences because the staff at Revolution Off Road will teach you.
While you’re there, you can also take part in some less-dirty experiences if you wish. Learn from the best in an archery lesson, shoot targets out of the sky in the clay shooting experience (30 rounds of ammunition per session), or go bass fishing on Revolution Off Road’s 60-acre lake. Just like all of the other experiences, you must make a reservation to participate in archery, clay shooting or bass fishing.
