For the adventurous types, take a plunge down Aquatica’s newest attraction, Ihu’s Breakaway Falls® or Dolphin Plunge®. Ihu’s Breakaway Falls® is a single-person free-fall, adding the thrill of never knowing whether you or your friends are going to be the ones to be released first. In Dolphin Plunge, you could say it’s more of a scenic race, giving you the chance to experience Commerson’s Dolphins swimming alongside you as you head through the enclosed tube.
If you want to enjoy the ride with your family and friends, try out Walhalla Wave®, where you’ll all sit in a tube together heading down six stories of twists, tunnels and turns before the sun hits you again when you get to the bottom. If you want to stick with tubing-type rides during your trip, Tassie’s Twisters® in the way to go, where the tube will send you spinning down the ride before you hit the lazy river. Sounds like a good way to finish up a wild ride, right?

Take some time to explore the park and you’ll find plenty of places to dine and a couple of spots to shop at for a nice break in your day. When it comes to food options, visitors can purchase a Meal Deal offered by the park, or enjoy different options at three different locations. Banana Beach Cookout is buffet-style for those who have saved up their appetite throughout the day, Mango Market is a one stop shop for to-go items, and Waterstone Grill give you a sit-down experience to relax and enjoy your meal at any time during the day. Adaptions features apparel and accessory from brand-name retailers. Kiwi Traders helps you get through the day with apparel as well, along with more necessity items and souvenirs.
Compete with your friends on the Taumata Racer® or group up and enjoy the rush together on the HooRoo Run®. The Taumata Racer is “the biggest thrill in the park,” where you’re given a raft to race head-first down the steep hill against 7 people besides yourself. During the HooRoo Run, you’ll feel weightless with your friends as you ride down six stories worth of drops throughout the ride.
Grab a partner and give Whanau Way as well, where you head down this slide at high speeds with the brave soul who’s decided to accompany you. Omaka Rocka changes the game and sends you sliding through funnels, creating various direction changes as you make your way to the bottom!
For some more relaxing attractions, a couple include Cutback Cove & Big Surf Shores, which are two giant wave pools right next to each other, but both offer different types of waves. Cutback Cove keeps the waves going, while Big Surf Shores often varies the speed and height of their waves. For the children, Kata’s Kookaburra Cove® is the perfect location, especially for younger ones new to water parks. There are smaller slides and attractions for children to enjoy throughout the day.
